Mr. David Skinner
Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Mr. David Skinner is a senior management executive with over 17 years of international experience in the legal, venture capital, and biotechnology industries. He returned to Canada in 2002 after more than eight years in the UK and Hungary. His responsibilities at BELLUS Health include: managing contractual and enterprise risk, advising on agreements relating to research, clinical trials, strategic collaborations, M&A and financings, and implementing corporate governance policies and practices.

Prior to joining BELLUS Health, Mr. Skinner served as Commercial Counsel and Deputy to the Director of Commercial and Legal Affairs in the London office of Antfactory Limited, a global firm focused on e-commerce and technology investing, small/mid-cap merchant banking and corporate finance advisory work. Mr. Skinner also served in the Corporate Commercial Departments of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, and Stikeman Elliott LLP, both leading international law firms, as Senior Associate.

Mr. Skinner holds a bachelor's degree in Geology from Williams College in Massachusetts, as well as a Bachelor of Common Law and a Bachelor of Civil Law from McGill University's Faculty of Law. He is a member of the bars of Quebec, New York and Massachusetts.
